The Division of Financial Management (DFM) is the Governor's budget and policy office and is part of the Executive Office of the Governor. It is headed by the Administrator, Division of Financial Management. Including the Administrator, there are 19 full time positions (FTPs) within DFM. |

There are four bureaus within DFM: the
Budget Bureau, the
Management Services Bureau,
Policy Bureau, and the
Economic Analysis Bureau. These bureaus work closely
with one another and the rest of state government to provide fiscal and policy guidance,
oversight, and management services on behalf of the Governor.

The Division of Financial Management is dedicated to promoting government
productivity and efficiency by creating and implementing informed policy
analysis, accurate revenue forecasts and adequate budgets for the State of
Idaho. The Division sees automation as the key to improved efficiencies and
strives to decrease paper work and bureaucracy by improving systems such as the
Budget Development System, Single Audit, Executive Agency Legislative
Information System, and web based communication tools. The Division of Financial
Management will be a customer service oriented organization that will lead by
example in working with the Governor, the Legislature, state agencies, and
employees to streamline state government operations.
